🧀 My Amish Neighbor Brought This to Dinner — and Everyone Asked for the Recipe

In a large mixing bowl, combine:

  • Ground beef

  • Breadcrumbs

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • Onion

  • Garlic

  • Salt, pepper, and paprika

Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

Form into thick oval or round patties — about 6–8 pieces depending on size preference.

2️⃣ Brown the Patties

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Lightly oil the pan and brown each patty for about 3–4 minutes per side. You’re not cooking them fully — just developing a deep golden crust to lock in flavor.

Once browned, transfer them into a greased baking dish.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together:

  • Cream of mushroom soup

  • Beef broth

  • Heavy cream

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Onion powder

Mix until smooth.

Pour the sauce evenly over the browned patties in the baking dish.

4️⃣ Bake to Perfection
